Join Locally First!

With your local membership dues you become a member of NAMI North Coastal San Diego County as well as NAMI California and NAMI (national).

We are a volunteer-based nonprofit organization for families and friends of those suffering from serious mental disorders and for consumers of mental health services.Here's what we do at the local level:

  • Offer mutual support groups for family members of loved ones with a major mental illness
  • Offer support groups for consumers (those with a serious and persistent mental illness)
  • Support advocacy for legislation to improve treatment of mental illness
  • Support research efforts to find cures and better treatment of mental illnesses
  • Educate the public to reduce the stigma of mental illness

Our funding comes from membership dues, donations, grants, and service contracts to offer free services to the public. Our 501c(3) nonprofit status allows you to deduct your contributions as allowed by law.

To join, download the membership application, fill it out and mail it with your check made payable to NAMI NCSDC at P. O. Box 2235, Carlsbad, CA 92018.

NAMI North Coastal San Diego County will not sell any membership information and will only share it with NAMI organizations.

Membership dues are $50 (Jan–Dec) for a family membership. Additional donations are welcome at supporting, professional, and sustaining levels. Scholarships are available to enable consumers to join who rely only on low or fixed incomes.
